Our plan for you in
Arrive in Marrakech around 2 pm
Welcome to Morocco! You've just landed and we'll be picking you up for your 15 minute journey to the riad. Upon arrival, settle in to your room, relax, maybe go exploring before we meet at 5 pm for our Welcome Circle.
Women from the Henna Cafe will be joining us at 6 pm to do henna, we'll have some Moroccan cocktails, get to know each other on the rooftop terrace before heading downstairs for a candle lit dinner made by our hosts. Dinner will be traditional Moroccan Tajine!
Morning yoga followed by breakfast at our Riad. Breakfast consists of a homemade spread of breads, fruits, yogurt, eggs & more. We promise it is filling and nourishing!
Let's see the city and give you a lay of the land. Our local friend will take us on a 2 hour walking exploration so you can see that you are HERE, in Morocco!
We'll enjoy lunch at one of the most lush restaurants in the Medina, followed by either free time, shopping or you have the option to to go do a traditional Hammam at a women owned spa. Other treatments are available including massage.
Dinner is at our favorite restaurant-full of modern takes on Moroccan food overlooking the souks.
Breakfast time! Up next: We'll head out at about 10:30 am for our full day in the Atlas Mountains. We'll drive 90 minutes to the traditional Berber village of Imlil to meet our local guide. Hike about 2 hours through several villages, passing children coming/going to school, many farm animals, hear the chants from the local mosque, and wave hello to all of the welcoming locals who have generously invited us into their homes.
We'll finish the hike with lunch-with-a-view. Enjoy traditional Moroccan mint tea and tajine before heading home. On our way we'll make a pit stop at a local women's coop who are making products with Argon Oil. Dinner will be at home.
I think you're starting to get the morning routine down.
After breakfast we'll be heading to Amal Cooking School, a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of disadvantaged women through restaurant training and job placement. Spend 4 hours getting hands on, picking from the fresh garden and enjoy lunch with the local women.
After our lesson we'll head home, but make a pit stop at the Garden Marjorelle to enjoy the stunning flowers.
Dinner is at home again, let's hang out, watch a movie, and enjoy each other's company.
For our last day in Marrakech, we'll enjoy breakfast together on our rooftop before heading out for an optional rug shopping experience. We'll visit our friends local rug business where you'll be able to pick from thousands (literally) of rugs. It get's quite dusty and can take a bit of time with a big group, so feel free to stay back or enjoy some free time.
Lunch is on your own, and we recommend lunch at the Riad, or going to one of our favorite spots in the city.
More free time so you can choose how you want to spend your time today. Dinner will be in the New City at a friend's restaurant. Enjoy the tasting menu in this modern and beautiful space.
Post breakfast you'll pack up your things and get ready to caravan to our desert camp.
We'll take an hour drive out to the Stone Desert where you'll stay for 2 nights. Relax, unwind, take a dip in the pool, get a massage, go for a hike, the world is your oyster here.
Good morning campers! Your night in the desert was super toasty by the furnace in your room the grounds keeper lit for you before bed. Full breakfast, hot coffee, made to order omelets and more await you.
You've got free time so what do you want to do? Hot air ballon, massage, dune buggy, hike, relax? Up to you but we'll help you schedule any activity you're interested in.
Lunch will be together followed by a sunset camel ride. Dinner under the stars will be a memorable way to end our magical trip together.
