BASIC INFO
Our aim is to offer a unique travel experience for women where they discover the world and get to deepen their own self connection. We've designed every aspect of this trip to empower you and to support local business owners through hands on collaborations and education. We've thought through every activity, and intentionally connected with amazing locally owned businesses to give you a multi dimensional and intentional Oaxacan experience where you can feel taken care of, and supported. Oaxaca offers a rich cultural landscape that has been home to clay artisans, Mezcal farmers, textile weavers, chefs, and more. Join us on this vibrant adventure.
WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR?
If you enjoy strolling through Artisans's markets, sitting down for 5 star tasting menus, getting your hands messy while creating something beautiful, love learning, adventure, and trying new things with a group of like minded women, this trip is for you. Our itinerary includes strolling through the streets of Oaxaca, visiting markets, learning about the architecture, shopping and strolling through the expansive city garden. It also includes leaving the city for a day to see more traditional Zapotek culture, visiting a traditional mezcal distillery, learning the ancient craft of textile weaving, dining with a local family at their home and hiking to witness the breathtaking views of the Valle below. Meals will be a balance of high end dining mixed with the more humble restaurants, both which show the wide range of culinary flavors this city provides. On our last day, we'll get hands on with an indigo dyeing workshop with local artists that will show us how to dye our own kimono we can take home with us.
Our itinerary is a balance between exploration and relaxation. We have one night where a local chef will provide us dinner at our hotel, which by the way, we have to ourselves for the trip. Beyond meals and activities together, we'll always schedule in some free time in case you're the more independent type and want to wander the city on your own or need space to unwind. If you like hanging out with like minded women, whether you're wanderlusting with your travel bestie or going solo, you'll have a built in community for the week.
